CELLULA
I like makeup a lot, but I think it has to be approached in a specific way. Remember my child makeup is for fun and toys. I think it should be used not to cover up "flaws", to "enhance" your features or to look the same as everyone else, but to fulfill the universal and innate human desire for adornment, for pretty colorful things on ourselves basically. I think foundation is evil. I love bold, colorful eye makeup and I love matching my looks with my outfits, and I like to think of makeup not as a way to fit in with beauty standards or to chase a flawless version of yourself that doesn't exist, but simply as a way to play around and experiment with colors. CELLULA
KIKO SKIN LOVER CONCEALER
I do use concealer but only on my undereyes, which are always visibly dark no matter how much I sleep. Concealer is actually the first makeup item I started wearing, years before anything else, but kinda on-and-off. This concealer is... okay, I mean what can I say about concealer?? It gets the job done it's okay but it's not my favourite thing to apply, concealer is just not particularly fun.
WHATEVER BROW GEL I CAN FIND
My brows are really thick and bushy, a friend compared me to Elio from Elio e Le Storie Tese once, so I need to get them somewhat in order when I go out. I can't be bothered to list what gel I'm using here because it's just gel ffs who cares I could probably use my hair gel and it'd work the same. Anyways brow gel is an absolute essential for me.
ESSENCE BABY GOT BLUSH & BABY GOT BRONZE
Yes, my beautiful babies. I own a lot of Essence products because they make cheap things but they're not, like, a Shein-level company. I started wearing blush and bronzer by using powders, but they required primer beforehand and their application was more time-consuming and difficult to get right. So without splurging on super fancy stick bronzers and blushes I decided to get these, and I never looked back, omg. Super easy and fast to apply and blend. For the time being, I use one or the other, not both at the same time, depending on what I'm wearing (blush for cool-toned outfits and bronzer for warm-toned outfits basically), but I'm wondering if I should learn how to use them together....
MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL MASCARA
What's an eye look without mascara. I've only ever had this one, it was my mother's and she gave it to me. It's... normal. To be honest I can't imagine that there can be many differences between mascaras... It's just, like, black goop for your eyelashes. But I guess I'll see about that after I pan this one.
RIMMEL MATTE PRIMER
Another ancient artifact found in my mother's drawer. It doesn't smell bad so I'm using it anyways. I don't use it all over my face, just on my eyelids whenever I wear powder eyeshadow, and it gets the job done. Only that... but this is a general complaint for eye primers anyway: WHY IS THE TUBE SO GODDAMN SMALL?
A LOT OF EYE PENCILS!!
My first love was black kohl. I never wore makeup, until one day for school-related reasons (it's complicated lol) I had to wear a line of black kohl on my lower lash line, and I was like......... this looks nice. That was the beginning of it all. To this day most of the makeup I do is eye makeup, and eye pencils are my second favourite beauty product after eyeshadow. As of now, I have a black one, a brown one, a brick one, a green one, a yellow one, a turquoise one, a red one, a blue one, and a highlighting one. Wow!
I admit there are some of them I use... less often than the others, but I'm trying to work on that. They're from various brands, but I love the Essence automatic pencils in particular, because, again, they're cheap but really pigmented and comfortable to use.
KIKO STICK EYESHADOW: COPPER
This was my first stick eyeshadow, and fuck, it made me fall in LOVE with that entire product category. I've always sorta known, even back when I didn't wear any makeup at all, that I would LOVE eyeshadow, but when I bought my first powder singles and palettes I found it tricky and time-consuming to apply them. But stick eyeshadow... When I first swatched this stick, I fell in love with its shade but also, most importantly, with how fast and easy it was to apply. I told myself: this is it. Even a lazy retard like me can wear eyeshadow every day now. Now I'm more open to powder eyeshadow lol, but I never fell out of love with stick eyeshadow. It's probably the best makeup product category ever.
I only have this one stick from Kiko because they're expensive (yes they're €10 that's expensive to me) but it's very high quality, it glides on like BUTTER, never creases, and the shade is super pretty and warm...
KIKO LIQUID EYESHADOW: LIGHT GREEN
Like other Kiko eyeshadows this is very good, fast & easy to apply, pretty color, but... It cost like €13 for such a small amount of product?? I admit I have no idea how long it will take to hit pan on this, but this seems like a DROP compared to other liquid shadows I've seen.
ASTRA STICK EYESHADOWS: LIGHT BLUE, DARK GREY, VINTAGE ROSE
I bought these because they are cheap as all fuck, like €4 each or something. They are very pigmented and very comfortable to use (non-automatic stick eyeshadows, the ones with this kind of tip that looks exactly like a pencil, can be kinda harsh on the eyes), but they have one fatal flaw... They crease. They crease a fucking lot. Even with primer, which stick eyeshadows shouldn't need anyway. I guess you get what you pay for...
WYCON STICK EYESHADOWS: """""BROWN"""""", """"""MAGENTA""""""" AND SPARKLY PINK
...No. I bought these in the summer of 2025 when I was basically new to makeup and also very stupid. I had just bought my first stick eyeshadow, the Kiko one ↑, and I had sworn my undying love to stick eyeshadows as a whole. I was on the Wycon website for some reason and they had a sale + free shipping from only €20 upwards = my impulsive consoomer ass immediately went OOGA BOOGA WOW I HAVE TO BUY THESE!2!!1!2!1!!2 And I placed an order that very same day. I didn't think it through, and I paid the very literal price for it. These kinda suck. The brown one and the magenta one swatch differently, but look exactly the same on the eyelid, and not only that but they are basically fucking invisible. You just can't see them. I also got a shiny pink one which is... fine, it still isn't very visible on the eyeli, but it's certainly better than the others. I still regret this purchase though. Never impulse buy.
e.l.f STICK EYESHADOWS: GOLD AND..... MATTE......... WEIRD BROWN SHADE I CAN'T DESCRIBE
I bought these way before the e.l.f.-Matt Rife controversy, and once they run out I'm certainly not buying them again, but these aren't bad products per se. I really like the golden stick, it's tacky and flashy, exactly how I want it. But it took me a while to get used to the brown one. I bought it expecting it to be a NORMAL dark brown shade, but it's actually... fucking weird, like the shade of mud. It sounds disgusting and it was, to me, for a certain period of time, but then I guess I kinda got used to it and now it's not bad, I can overlook the... greenish tint. It's also hard to blend, but I just use a firmer brush for it.
L'OREAL SHADOW STICK: DARK BROWN
I got this as a gift, but the shade is perfect for me I think. I have brown eyes so on me it's..... MWAH. It glides on really smooth and it has a very rich color.
REVLON COLORSTAY CREAM EYESHADOW: SILVER
I love this so much. I bought it while it was on a massive sale but I would pay double the full price for it. It's SO PIGMENTED!!!, so LUXURIOUS to apply, it even has its own little built-in brush... And it's super super showy on the eyelids. My Dream. I was born for silver eyeshadow.
ESSENCE MATTE LIQUID EYESHADOW: PEACH
Beautiful little joy. Cheap in typical Essence style but so good. I absolutely adore the peachy pink-orange shade. As for convenience, it's certainly faster to apply than powder eyeshadow, but I have to admit that it took me a while before I understood how to blend it (this was my first liquid eyeshadow ever). I remember going out one time with, like, a big badly-blended splotch of color on my lids because I didn't know how to fucking blend liquid eyeshadow...
REVOLUTION RELOADED MARVELOUS MATTES EYESHADOW PALETTE
This is actually the very first eyeshadow product I ever bought in my life, back when I didn't really know what I liked or wanted. I didn't even know what "matte" meant... I just saw all the tacky colors and decided to try it out, as my first palette. I ended up not spending a lot of time with it, because shortly after buying it I discovered stick and liquid eyeshadows, which are far more convenient to use than powder. So I kinda left this palette in the dirt. Now, though, I've opened myself back up to powder shadows, so I've been rediscovering this palette. It's not half bad, especially the yellow and orange shades (!) I'm a sucker for bright colors. Let me say something though, the "blue" is fucking hideous.
CATRICE CORAL CRUSH EYESHADOW PALETTE
This is what made me rediscover and reconsider powder eyeshadow!! It came free with a magazine that my mother had bought, so she just gave it to me. I was ECSTATIC because free eyeshadow A WHOLE DAMN PALETTE AHHHHH + the color story is so pretty!!!! I was worried I would have no time in the morning to apply primer and mess around with powder, but as it turns out, more often than not, I do. I'm thankful to this little palette for leading me back into the wonderful world of powder eyeshadow.
ESSENCE SOFT TOUCH EYESHADOW DUO: BLUE AND LIGHT BLUE
Got this when I'd just started doing my makeup, at around the same time as the Marvelous Mattes palette, and just like that one, Ι eventually stopped using it for a while until I got the Catrice palette and rediscovered powder eyeshadow. The regular blue is awful, I'll admit, but the light blue is stunning and it has given me so much joy. I think this was the first eyeshadow that I ever really loved a lot.
DEBBY COLORCASE MONO EYESHADOW: PURPLE
Very very ancient artifact of unknown age. My father's girlfriend gave it to me, when I first started getting into makeup, because she didn't use it anymore. I was so excited to have purple eyeshadow, but... this one looks way less bright on the eyelid. It doesn't even look purple all that much, more like a sort of grey?... It might be because it's old, or because it was a cheap nasty product to begin with. It's okay though, I got it for free so I can't complain.
CELLULA
✨ Look Today, to go with the beige sweater and blue jeans I was wearing, I decided to wear both of the main color families in the Catrice Coral Crush palette: brown and light blue. I put an orangey brown shade I'd never used before on the lid with a light brown shimmer at the center, the main matte turquoise shade on the lower lash line, and a cold white shimmer as a highlight in the inner corner. That orangey brown shade ended up being... more orange than I thought, I looked kind of like a Tide Pod, or a Digimon character design, but this look wasn't too bad, I think I'm gonna do it again. Variety is key.
✨ LookToday I was wearing black jeans and a grey and red sweater; I usually wear grey eyeshadow with this outfit, but today I decided to diversify and I wore a matte red one that I've never used before, along with a reddish shimmer at the center of the lid, and a little smoked-out black kohl wing. The wings were kinda fucked up cause I'm still new to doing them but I loved this look overall, it was FIERCE!....
💸 No-buy 👁️ Purchase idea I'm on a no-buy of anything beauty-related for the month of December. I recently got that Catrice palette I mentioned in the stash section for free, and it lead me back into the world of eyeshadow palettes. Now, I kinda want a new palette, but I know I really, really gotta think this through, and only AFTER I finish this no-buy month: I need to put money aside to buy Christmas gifts, and also I gotta decide if I really need or even WANT that palette. I would thrift it (will you get mad if I call Vinted "thrifting"?), and I wouldn't have it cost more than €10 shipping included, but I still have to think about it carefully: I've become really stingy, yes, but I think it's not a bad thing.
Maybe I just want a new palette right now because I'm still riding the wave of novelty from the Catrice one. I know what I like about the idea of a new palette: the fact that it'd have a color story. I love the CONCEPT of color stories in general because I'd like all the silly/creative names. I also like the fact that I'd find all the shades neatly arranged near each other, which would immediately spark ideas about combinations. But... these are pretty dumb reasons to buy something. One is just "ooga booga nice word under nice color" and, for the other, I can just... make combinations with my own damn brain between the products I already have. I don't need them to be laid out on a single pan to do that, I'm not completely spastic. Despite this, I still think that buying a cheap, second-hand palette would be a nice treat, but only after this no-buy month, AND I gotta choose it really well. It has to be the most divine, perfect, ravishing palette of all time. It has to have shades that I've NEVER SEEN BEFORE. I have to instantly get wet at the sight of it. And if it falls short of these standards, then sorry, onto the next one. Yes I'll probably never find this mystical palette but that's kind of the point lol, if I spend my hard-earned money it's gotta be on something that's really worth it.
This month I'm gonna try to get more creative with my stash. I hope that having this webpage, writing down the products that I already own & what looks I can create with them, will help me appreciate it more and make me realize that I shouldn't need anything else.
